Lazy. That's the perfect word to describe this show. It's nothing more than a corporate sellout. The plot is boring, the gimmicks used before, and even the designs are ripoffs. I have seen three episodes (including the pilot) and each one hurts my brain.....The main characters are all assholes as well. Shoutmon is only in it to become ruler of the world, Ballistamon is an egotistical know it all, Cutemon is annoying as hell to everyone......Down to her attack being annoying singing [then again Shoutmon fights by yelling, so it's not much better]. The human's aren't any better, aside from each one looking just like a character from a previous season with different clothes, or a different hair color, that are just as jerkish as the digimon. The main character Mikey is a showoff, Angie is a hypocrite with the same stalker personality of Amy Rose from the Sonic franchise, and Jeremy is the kind of asshole who refuses to accept that anyone is better than him at anything. The gimmick this series is that the digimon fuse together..............Which was used all the way back in series 2! Only this time instead of creating unique and interesting combos, they just slapped them together into some kind of Megazord that is a rip off of the first fusion monster in the series, Omnimon. Speaking of Power Rangers, this series has the same problem as the current power rangers show, It lures you in with ads and an opening that shows something that will happen later on in the show, then the show itself was nothing like that opening. However, while the power rangers show is actually starting to follow through on those ads (being able to transform into any previous ranger and fighting in a post apocalyptic universe) As far as I know this Digimon series hasn't fulfilled on the war, and previous characters return. Lastly, all the main characters have zero intelligence whatsoever. Such as the digimon knowing what a banana is, but not knowing if you eat the peel or the fruit. Even though they eat them all the time. However I want to take a moment and review the pilot specifically, since it has so many things wrong with it. First off, it has the WORST pacing I have ever seen! It literally opens up, and shows you two minutes with the main characters (if even that) and decides "You know them well enough start the fighting!" You get no backstory of any of the characters at all! They just, show up out of the blue! Which is counteractive since they try to have an emotional moment tied to the lead's past, WHICH WE KNOW NOTHING ABOUT!!! The plot then moves at breakneck speed, and refuses to explain anything! How does shoutmon know who Mikey is? Why does he think he is the king? Who was the mysterious voice who gave Mikey his digivice? Never explained at all. Not to mention it ends with the humans being dragged into the digital world without having anything explained to them, then suddenly told "Oh yeah, we are never letting you go back home since we need you!" Treating them like they are in the wrong for wanting to go home!
